If you want to skip straight to the application: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Here's Your Quick Peek: PLEASE ASK FOR CLAISSE'S FULL STORY!! Clarisse is a gentle, shy Miniature Poodle who is still learning how to trust people and navigate life outside of a kennel. She's nervous but trying, and with the right support she has every bit of potential to blossom into a sweet, loving companion. Must have: A quiet, calm home with another dog for confidence and companionship. Exercise: Light — yard time, gentle exploration, short walks as she learns leash skills. Best with: An adopter who has experience with nervous or breeder‑release dogs and understands slow, patient progress. Not ideal for: Busy homes, loud environments, or adopters seeking an instantly social dog. Energy level: Medium — curious, observant, and playful with small dogs. She is working on house training, crate training, and leash skills. She warms up slowly, especially with women, and appreciates gentle introductions. She is never aggressive — just timid and unsure. Good with dogs: Yes! Good with kids: We would not recommend Clarisse to a home with kids. Cats: Unknown. Fun fact: Clarisse's confidence blooms when she's with another dog — she watches them closely and follows their lead as she learns the world.
