Hi… I'm Knox. I've been meaning to ask something, and I promise I'm not complaining — I'm just a little confused. How is it that I'm still waiting for my forever home? I'm a sweet golden doodle, about 60 pounds, somewhere between 1 and 3 years old. I'm completely potty trained, very smart, and I try really hard to be a good boy. I love quickly — maybe too quickly sometimes — but when I pick my person, I'm all in. I attached to my foster mom almost immediately. Being near my people makes me feel safe. I really love other dogs. Like, really love them. I'd be happiest with a confident dog sibling who could show me that I'm home for good. I think that would help my heart settle. I've had a few stops already — I'm the fourth place that anyone knows of — and none of it was my fault. So sometimes I worry when I'm alone. I think once I know I'm staying, that little bit of separation anxiety will fade away. I'm good with kids and I love people. I'm doing okay with cats, but I should be supervised because I still forget they aren't dogs. I enjoy being active and playing outside — a fenced yard would be amazing — but I'm also perfectly happy to lay around and just hang out with you. Car rides? Yes. Walks? I'm pretty good on a leash. Wherever you are is exactly where I want to be. I don't love being crated, but I'm working on it. Honestly, I think once I understand that everything in the house isn't up for grabs, I won't need one much at all. I'm learning what's mine and what's not. I just need a little consistency and patience, and I promise I'll get it. I've had most of my vetting done and will be brought up to date on anything else before adoption. I'm healthy, goofy, cuddly, and I've been told I'm literally the best dog. I don't need anything fancy. Just a family who means it when they say "forever." A dog friend would be wonderful. A fence would make me very happy. But most of all, I just want to be loved and belong. I'm ready when you are.
