MEET FREYA! Freya had a rough start. She was originally found in the desert with her mate. She was extremely emaciated and most likely used for breeding and kept locked up. She didn't know how to be a dog or what toys were. Fortunately, she was saved by Underdog and put into foster where she was nursed back to a healthy weight. She does have Valley Fever, but she has medication to help with that. Freya is a beautiful girl, not to mention so sweet and enjoys belly rubs and spending time with her pup brothers. She really, really loves attention, but she just needs a few minutes to warm up to new people. At first she approaches a bit unsure, timid and may bark occasionally. But, she is not aggressive with her food or other dogs. She is good around cats as well as long as the cat is friendly with her. Although she is crate trained and house trained, she still needs to work on leash skills. Like most dogs, she is a big foodie:-) Her dislikes include being too cold or too hot--typical Goldilocks Syndrome. She wakes up late and goes to bed early. Mostly she likes to lounge around the house and outside, but she enjoys most naps in the kennel. She can be active, but she's an old soul at heart. Freya will bark at strangers passing by and understands Spanish and English! Her ideal home would have other pets, kids, and someone who is able to give her attention she seeks. Meet Freya today!
