FOSTER (or adopter!!) needed for little CALLOWAY. He's a scruffy little puppy, 3-4 months old and currently 9 lbs. He appears to be a border terrier-type mix who will probably be 20-25 pounds when fully grown. He is a feisty little guy who loves attention, loves to play and loves his toys. Calloway has a wiry coat and a little bob tail. Our understanding is that he was purchased from a breeder by a woman who fell into poor health and was no longer able to care for him. No family member was willing to care for him so he landed in a rural shelter. This cute little guy needs a foster home where he can hang out while we find him a home. He's ideally suited to a home with another friendly, playful medium-sized dog. He's a rough player so he may be too much for a small dog. Calloway is crate trained and is doing well on housebreaking. He needs a foster (or adopter) in the Greater Cincinnati area in order to complete the vetting covered by his adoption fee. If you are interested in FOSTERING Calloway: SDHR will provide food and all needed supplies. All resident dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. Please fill out a FOSTER application at dreamhouserescue.org. If you are interested in ADOPTING Calloway and meet the requirements listed above, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Calloway must remain in greater Cincinnati to complete his vetting. He will go to a furever home on an trial basis. His adoption will be finalized when his vetting is completed. Calloway's scruffy coat will require regular grooming. His adopter should plan for that expense. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
