***Brody is with a loving foster family near Pennington, NJ. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Brody and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com ; please do not call the Rescue's number.*** Brody is currently being fostered with 5 dogs and is doing great. He's reserved with people but is learning from his fur friends that people can be very loving. They aren't sure but he might have hearing issues but not 100% sure. Either way he's amazing! Brody was a stray that had been hanging out at a home not far from SoCo Rescue. It took Scott Bennett a few trips to that home to catch Brody as he was a bit hesitant of people, most likely due to the uncaring people that he had met during his time as a homeless dog. Once caught and after a few days at our rescue, Brody began to show a bit of trust in people again, even looking forward to his daily leash walks and interactions with our staff. Despite seeming aloof at times, it's easy to tell that Brody nothing more than to become someone's best friend. He Will do very well in a home that allows him plenty of time outdoors and with the ability to run and explore, such as on a farm. He has interacted very well with other dogs, being more so on the submissive (but not timid) side rather than challenging to be the alpha dog. He also seems to have a great desire to experience all of the new and wonderful things that will come with finding his new home. Brody has been kept up to date on all of his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives since his arrival. Upon his arrival, Brody did test positive for heartworms but has received treatment for them. Brody will most likely need additional house and other basic training.
