ASH PUPDATE! This sweet boy had his final vet visit with the surgeon that did his surgery. She is VERY pleased with his progress so far. Thanks to his wonderful foster Deb, he has improved his muscle mass in his hind legs - which is what is needed for him to walk. He can't walk yet - as his back legs continue to cross when he stands, so the vet suggested a cart - which the foster graciously purchased. The cart isn't meant to be a forever fit, but to enable him to strengthen his spine so he can learn to straighten his back legs. He likes it so far and since he is a typical puppy, he just wants to go and play with the big dogs in the home!! He is pushing 8 months old, he is neutered and vetted. He is thriving in his foster home! We cannot thank everyone in the PUPR family for the generous support ASH to enable him to have this surgery and be given a chance at a somewhat normal life. He is a fighter and we know it will take some time, but we feel he will walk ! He will be available for adoption but for now he is working on his training wheels so he can be ready to run! Stay tuned!!
