It's important to share that he does need thoughtful handling and ongoing support. In the past, he has bitten people, not because he's a "bad dog," but because he was misunderstood and people placed him in situations that felt overwhelming, where he believed he needed to stand up for himself. He is currently working with a professional trainer to rebuild trust in people again and learn how to feel safe. Because of this, he'll need a patient, adopter who is committed to continuing his training and willing to learn his boundaries, and how to introduce new people slowly and intentionally. He does best in a quiet home who understands that trust is built over time—not rushed. This boy isn't looking for a social butterfly life.
